Chinese Pagoda Lantern
This is an antique Chinese (made in Taiwan) heavy cast iron pagoda garden lantern, with an architectural pagoda form & circular topped lid, a hinged cage door with a bluebird (or swallow) of happiness, and openwork screen sides. Is has a cast iron candle holder inside of the lantern in which you can place a tea light or candle.
The lantern is in good condition with original patina appropriate to its age and use. Heavy quality capable of handling inclement weather conditions. Overall, it is in great antique shape, missing a handle that could be easily replaced, but who wants to carry such heavy thing around? This is the sort of functional antique to place and not worry about.
Place a candle, tea light or a small oil lamp inside the main section of the lamp to create a warm, romantic ambiance and enjoyable decorative accent for entertaining friends and family. It's a perfect decorative ornament for your indoor or outdoor garden space.
You could also use battery operated lights or fairy lights inside it.
